20th anniversary in Montauk

This weekend, we celebrated our 20th anniversary stateside. Teaming up with Australian ex-pat and editor of In Style magazine, Laura Brown, we invited a select group of our favourite people to celebrate with us in the sun over glasses of Bird in Hand sparkling pinot noir and rosé. Guests included acclaimed actress Naomi Watts and fellow Aussies Malcolm Carfrae and James Houston.  New Yorkers in attendance included fashion insider Kate Nobelius Storey, Art insider Pippa Cohen and Sarika Rastogi of Michael Kors, Jason Minty of Becker Minty and many others.

The party took place at Hero Beach Club in Montauk, one of the Hamptons’ most charming spots, a stone’s throw from the stunning Kirk Park Beach.

Founder of Bird in Hand, Andrew Nugent hosted guests, along with his son Oscar, and party-goers indulged in delicious hors d’oeuvres to complement the Bird in Hand wine portfolio, accompanied by a specially curated playlist, which set a fun, bohemian mood.

Andrew Nugent comment: “2017 sees us celebrate our 20th year of wine-making the Adelaide Hills, and having recently launched our wines in the US, it seemed a fitting time to celebrate with our friends stateside. In August, New Yorkers flock to the Hamptons to enjoy friendship and good times, so we wanted to throw a party to share Bird in Hand with wine-lovers there and fly the flag for Australian wine in the USA.”
